I’m Sarah Sweeney—Boston-based storyteller, communications and content strategist, journalist, and author of Tell Me If You’re Lying.
My creative work can be found everywhere from record sleeves to in-flight magazines, and I love partnering with brands, nonprofits, and academic institutions to shape stories across channels.
My essays, reporting, and other writing have appeared in Gay Magazine (edited by Roxane Gay), Catapult, Salon, The Rumpus, Munchies, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Hobart, and others. I hold an MFA from Emerson College and have also produced storytelling events like RESISTANCE MIC!, a politically-charged variety show with Harvard Kennedy School professor Timothy Patrick McCarthy, at Oberon.
I’m a proud Scorpio and North Carolina native with a deep love for cats, thrift shops, and classic rock. Currently, I’m working on my next book—a dive into the world of catfishing, family, and more.
